We no longer need to spend time with the design, production, testing and cementation of a temporary crown. Nor do we have to wait (typically a few weeks) while an impression is sent to a lab, stone models are poured up, the crown designed and shipped back… as is the case with the traditional method of crown production.

Modern Technology
Utilizing the most modern technology, we take a super high resolution scan following your tooth preparation. Utilizing this data, we design the crown with sophisticated software to our precise specifications. This design is then sent to a mill (in our office) which sculpts an equally high-res porcelain crown out of a block of E-MAX (lithium disilicate) which is highly esthetic, and scrutinized to match your natural tooth color as close as possible.
Sit Back and Relax
Once milling is complete, the crown is then test fitted, baked in a porcelain oven and polished, prior to permanently cementation. The whole process typically takes about 2-hours. We usually tell patients to bring a good book or smartphone because most of the dental work is done outside the mouth. All the while, you can sit back and relax, as all this gets done.
